Giving Tuesday

Set for December 1, #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide.

This year the Avera Queen of Peace Foundation has teamed up with County Fair Food Store and Vern Eide of Mitchell to raise funds for a new 3D mammogram machine for Avera Women’s Diagnostics. This machine will make a big impact in the lives of women in our community by increasing early detection, reducing callbacks for return visits and improving accuracy to reduce false alarms.

You can make a big difference in our community by making a donation on #GivingTuesday. For every $10 donation to the Avera Queen of Peace Foundation on #GivingTuesday, County Fair Food Store and Vern Eide of Mitchell will EACH donate $20 to the fund. Your $10 donation will turn into a $50 donation.

It’s very simple to participate in #GivingTuesday. All you have to do is:

1) Make a donation to Avera Queen of Peace Foundation at www.Avera.org/donate-now and designate the Cancer Care Fund or by calling 605-995-5773 or 605-995-6345.

2) Write down your reason for donating and take a selfie (a photo of yourself) with your “why”.

3) Post your selfie to Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #QOPGivingTuesday or email it to molly.sutton@avera.org.

4) Challenge your friends, family and coworkers to make a donation.

5) Make a direct impact in your community.
