Driver's License

South Dakota driver’s licenses can be obtained or renewed at the Department of Drivers Licensing. You can also renew your driver's license online.

Vehicle Licensing

South Dakota license plates and renewals can be received at the Treasurer’s Office in the Davison County Courthouse. Renewals can also be facilitated by mail, online, or at the kiosk in County Fair Food Store.

Animal & Bike Registration

Pets and bikes do not need to be registered in Mitchell. However, in the event of a lost bicycle or pet, registration may help in the recovery effort. Contact the Department of Public Safety for registration materials or more information.

Voter Registration

In order to register to vote you must be 18 years old or upwards on or before election day. You must also be a United States Citizen, and you must be registered to vote in the county you reside in. Mitchell is located in Davison County, South Dakota.

To register: Complete a voter registration card and return it to the County Auditor prior to the voter registration deadline. The registration deadline is 15 days prior to any election.
