Hometown Heroes
Event Description:Cabela’s will honor the contributions of those who serve with a Hometown Heroes Celebration in conjunction with our Memorial Day Salute beginning Thursday, May 19 and running through Sunday, May 22.On Saturday, May 21st, Armed Forces Day, several military organizations will have informational tables set up at Cabela’s from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. including the VFW Post 2750 of Mitchell, US Army National Guard of Mitchell and Project Thank You which focuses on helping South Dakota Veterans. The colors will be posted at 10 a.m. followed by a short program. Special features include a display of unique War memorabilia, raffle opportunity for a WWII firearm and an opportunity to help the Berakhah House for homeless Veterans in Sioux Falls. Also enjoy the military vehicle display by the US Army National Guard set up outside the store from the 17th-24th. Cabela’s will serve complimentary coffee and rolls on Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. in honor of our military and veterans. On Sunday, our Memorial Salute continues with a 1 PM Seminar: "Choosing The Right Smoker For You" and 3 PM Seminar: "Choosing the Right Tent For Your Family".
All active military and veterans, law-enforcement, firefighters and emergency services personnel will be offered 10% discount pricing on in-store purchases and 5 percent on any in-stock firearms as a way of saying “thank you” for your service May 19-22. This includes sale and clearance items, at all U.S. locations. A valid military ID, badge or other proof of eligibility must be presented at the time of purchase to receive the discount.
