The McGovern CROP Hunger Walk is held to raise money to provide food, water and other services to places in need both locally and globally.
The hunger walk symbolizes the six-mile average trek people in developing countries must make daily to acquire food, drinking water and supplies. In solidarity with the folks who lack vehicles and the convenience of local amenities, participants walk anywhere from one to five miles aroun the DWU Campus.
The event supports Church World Service and the Mitchell Food Pantry
