Avera Queen of Peace Hospital is relaunching its Parkinson’s Support Group at 2 p.m. Monday, May 16, in the Community Room. These hour-long meetings are aimed at those who are affected by Parkinson’s disease and their caregivers. Becky Weich, a LSVT BIG and PwR! certified occupational therapist with Avera Therapy, will discuss “Tips and Tricks to Get You Moving and Keep You Moving.” Refreshments will be served. To get to the Community Room, come through the main hospital entrance. To comply with federal guidelines as they move about patient-facing areas of the hospital, attendees and Avera staff must wear a mask. If attendees are fully vaccinated, they may remove their masks once seated in the Community Room. However, unvaccinated individuals must continue masking. If you have questions, please contact Lisa Walton or Laurie Young at (605) 995-5715.
