    Job Description
    Position Purpose:
    The primary responsibilities of this position are to help deepen customer relationships and attract additional customers. 

    Qualities of the successful candidate include:
    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Associates or Bachelor's degree in Banking/Finance/Management or equivalent experience preferred. 1+ years Retail Banking experience is highly recommended.
    • Respond sensitively to the needs and priorities of the customer, recognize and take appropriate action to meet their needs and establish an effective working relationship with customers to gain their respect and loyalty. 
    • Project a positive image of the Bank to all internal and external customers and provide exceptional customer interaction. 
    • Must have the potential to understand and effectively apply product promotion techniques to open, develop and close a sale; must be able to create interest in a product and actively cross-promote other products and services. 
    • Must view oneself as part if an overall team. This includes supporting others throughout the entire Bank to achieve the overall goals of the Bank.
    • Must embrace change and see changes as opportunity. Must be willing to express and support management's ideas to affected staff. 
    • Must have detailed knowledge of banking rules and regulations.
    • Must possess excellent phone etiquette, verbal, and written communication skills.
    • Must have the ability to manage one's time to complete work according to established deadlines and have the ability to prioritize tasks to make the best use of time for high priority tasks.
    • Possessing the ability to calculate figures and attention to detail is essential.
    • Must be able to communicate effectively, get along with co-workers and deal with colleagues effectively and professionally.
    • Must be able to multi-task and work under pressure and stress.
    • General PC knowledge is required and must be able to maneuver well in the system to assist the customer with quality customer service. 
    • Practice branch security procedures and protect customer confidentiality and privacy.
    • Must be responsible for punctuality and maintain good attendance. 
    • Must be trustworthy and maintain a high level of confidentiality. 
    Responsibilities of this position include (but not limited to):
    • Full-time hours from Monday-Friday, with rotating Saturdays
    • Responsible for retail products promotion. This will include helping to deepen account relationships with existing customers and soliciting prospects to the Bank.
    • Understand the various products the Bank offers and able to explain the value of those products to customers.
    • Responsible for maintaining existing and generating new deposit growth.
    • Will interview and profile customer relationships to identify growth opportunities. Make product recommendations, cross-sell and refer customers and prospects to bank accounts.
    • Understand and comply with the related laws and compliance regulations that pertain. Examples include Bank Secrecy Act, Privacy, and Funds Availability Policy as well as the ability to interpret Federal and State Laws and regulations.
    • Assist walk-in customers with their new account needs. This will include checking, savings, certificates of deposits and the like.
    • Process transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, payments, etc.
    • Assist walk-in and phone customers with problems or service issues to their account(s).
    • Assist with quality issues related to deposit accounts, including tracking, and communicating issues to staff and their supervisors.
    • Understand bank operational procedures related to retail delivery. This may include product functionality, account documentation, platform/operational issues, CIP procedures and the like.
    • Fulfill compliance requirements as directed by the Bank, including those of the Bank Secrecy Act and consumer compliance issues.
    • As part of the overall team of Bank employees, this position may be requested to assist in the support of other bank activities.

    Compensation for positions based on the specific position and may be paid in the form of an hourly wage, overtime, a semi-monthly salary, commissions, or a combination of them.
