Are you passionate about cooking and possess strong culinary skills? County Fair is seeking a friendly, energetic, skilled, and reliable Event Cook to join our team and assist in preparing high quality, up-scale meals for special events.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
*Prepare and cook a variety of foods based on event menus.
*Ensure food is prepared and served according to proper health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
*Work efficiently with other staff to meet timelines and ensure food is ready and served on time.
*Work efficiently to minimize food waste.
*Work closely with catering manager and event planner to provide excellent customer service.
*Set up and tear down work areas before, during, and after events.
*Maintain organization and cleanliness of the kitchen and food prep areas.
*Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly cleaned and maintained.
*Assist with other duties as needed, such as plating and cleanup.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
*Have proven experience as a cook, preferably in event catering or large-scale cooking.
*Have strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, food preparation, and presentation.
*Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
*Understand and comply with all company, state, and federal regulations governing health, safety, and sanitation.
*Have excellent time management and organizational skills.
*Have good communication skills to work with a team and customers.
*Be able to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
