    Job Description
    Countryside Living is looking for a Part-Time Nurse (RN or LPN) to assist our Full-Time RN with assessments, toenail care, making doctor appointments, admissions, and working with the pharmacist.     Position Title: Part-Time Nurse (RN or LPN)
    The purpose of this position is to provide nursing management and resident care. To set resident care standards for all direct care providers and provide complete supervision for the nursing department.

    Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
    • Assess resident care needs and assist in the development of individualized plan of care.
    • Assess resident pre-admission and/or admission information and determine if appropriate for appropriate level of care.
    • Assume responsibility for all incident/accident reports. Report to appropriate staff and agencies.
    • Assess residents for any special services needed i.e. physical, occupational, or speech therapy.
    • Assess resident responses to all medications and treatment and make appropriate recommendations to primary care physician.
    • Ensure that resident living situation is safe and hazard free and make corrective action if necessary.
    • Responsible for nursing service compliance with federal and state regulations.
    • Review level of care provided and make necessary changes in assessment, when deemed appropriate.
    • Manages RTasks software/EMR.
    • Manages Infection Control for residents and staff.
    • Ensure open lines of communication with all staff.
    • Coordinate resident admissions, transfer, and discharge with other health care alternatives.
    • Demonstrate responsibility, accountability, and dependability.
    • Maintain confidentiality of resident and facility information.
    Skills and Requirements:
    • RN/LPN licensure in the state of SD.
    • Prior experience in long term care.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills a must.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and willingness to learn new programs a must.
    • High degree of interpersonal relationship skills, creativity time management and self-motivation a must.
    • Receptive to flexible hours, expectation of working at least 2 shifts on the floor/month if needed.
    • Will be asked/expected to help other departments.
